Sunday Roast

Inspired by a country house kitchen using the same methods and traditions a roast ‘just like at home’ is the result!  The meat is of the highest quality.  Our own South Devon topside beef, turkeys and spring lamb are used, Cornish pork and Creedy Carver duck and chickens.  The majority of vegetables are our freshly harvested seasonal produce very often having been harvested that same morning!  Our crispy Wilja roast potatoes originate for most of the year from Boscastle and complete the roast meal.   However, we do not fall short on the trimmings.  A traditional Yorkshire pudding is served with beef, crackling and Bramley apple sauce with pork and sausage meat and stuffing with turkey are never forgotten!  We always have a choice of 3 or more meats and a small or a large roast to choose from.  Child’s roasts are available along with our breakfast and snack menu. 

A choice of over 10 homemade desserts are available on a Sunday to finish off the meal (please note these vary from week to week).  Desserts to choose from could be Bramley apple pie, Westcountry junket, bread and butter pudding, cheesecake, banoffee pie, crème brulee and steamed sponge pudding.  All these are served with Cornish clotted cream, homemade custard or homemade icecream.  We do advise customers to book their table to guarantee a table and preferred time.  Served from 12.00pm till 2.30pm.
